Clay County is situated entirely within the Hiawassee River Water Shed, which was home to the Cherokee Indians for hundreds of years until the mid 1800's. Located within a two-and-a-half-hour drive from
four major airports - - Atlanta, Georgia; Asheville, North Carolina;
Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Greenville, South Carolina. Deer
Valley is also within 15 miles of two public airports
in Andrews, North Carolina, and Blairsville, Georgia; with 5,000
and 3,800 foot runways. |
