Driving Directions

From Northeast Atlanta / Lake Lanier Area.

Travel I-985 North to Gainsville, GA. Exit I-985 at exit #24 - US 19 North. Follow US 19 North to the intersection of GA 75. Travel GA 75 North to the intersection of US 76. Turn left (west) onto US 76.

Continue on US 6 West through Hiawassee, GA to Young Harris, GA. Young Harris College is located on US 76 at the intersection of Highway 66. Turn right (north) onto Highway 66 and follow Highway 66 for 5 miles. After crossing the GA/NC border turn right (east) onto Pisgah Rd.

Follow Pisgah Rd. to the stop sign at Hall Cove Rd. Turn left, uphill, onto Hall Cove Rd. Follow the Deer Valley signs to the main entrance on your left, 1 mile past the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. If you have any problems with directions please call Don or Lynn Fountain at 828.389.2826.

Note: This route passes through the alpine village of Helen, GA. and requires travel over many miles of two lane roadways some of which are very curvy. Several sections of this route have speed limits below 45 mph. In the summer 'River Tubing' and fall 'Leaf Viewing' seasons this route is susceptable to slower moving traffic.
